Malatya Turgut Özal University (MTÜ) Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (STMF) Department of Interior Architecture exhibited the work produced by first-year students who began their education in the 2024-2025 academic year. The opening of the ‘Interior Architecture Department Student Works Exhibition’ took place on Tuesday, 27 May 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the STMF Foyer Area. The exhibition will be open to art lovers for two days between 27 and 28 May.

The opening ceremony was attended by MTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Recep Bentli, MTÜ Secretary General Abuzer Gelse, Deputy Secretary General Dr. Lecturer Abuzer Yeşil, STMF Dean Prof. Dr. Ersan Çiftci, Deputy Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Doğan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferdi Karaönçel, Yeşilyurt MYO Director Assoc. Dr. Fehmi Aslan, Director of the Graduate School of Education Assoc. Prof. Dr. Varol Tutal, STMF Faculty Secretary Lecturer Harun Barış, Head of Construction and Technical Affairs Sinan Akgül, Malatya Interior Designers Association Representative Fırat Bozkuş, as well as numerous institutional representatives, academics, students and guests.

Features the Distinction of Being the First Student Exhibition

The Exhibition Preparation Committee comprised Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Doğan, Lecturer Gülşah Karataş, Lecturer Elif Tuğçe Göçmez, Lecturer Şule Betül Demirkol, Ceren Akbaş Gönültaş, and Fırat Bozkuş. This event, which was the first student exhibition of the STMF Interior Architecture Department, featured projects carried out by first-year students during their basic design education. The works exhibited were produced within the scope of Basic Design, Technical Drawing, Presentation and Presentation Techniques, and Introduction to Interior Architecture courses. The students transformed the theoretical and practical knowledge they had acquired throughout the year into original designs, presenting creative and high-quality examples to the guests.

The participants showed interest in the creative approaches demonstrated by the students in their first-year projects, engaging in one-on-one communication with the students and learning about the project processes.
